10 Year Anniversary

Gordon and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on August 11th. In the past we had great plans for going somewhere tropical for the big occasion, but my giant belly has interrupted our fun! We opted for an overnight stay in Manti including an endowment and sealing session (not quite sure what else there is to do in Manti ?!?) Thanks to Gordon's mom who watched Taeya we had a really nice time. The Manti temple is so beautiful and it was fun to reminisce about our wedding. The 10 years has gone so quickly. I was telling Gordon that it doesn't seem that long ago, but I can't really remember Gordon not being in my life! I love him so much and I am lucky to have such a great man! Maybe our 11th anniversary will be the tropical one I desire?

New Rollerskates

I potty trained Taeya months ago, but she starting having accidents again, mainly because I think she was a little too busy playing to stop and go to the bathroom. The girl can hold it for a long time anyway, but she is really stubborn about going when I ask her too. So to kick the bad habit she was getting into Gordon bought her some roller skates as incentive. We put the skates on top of the fridge and she had to go 10 days (get 10 stars) without an accident. She did really great, she only had 1 accident! She definitely earned her skates and hasn't had an accident since.

She was so excited to have her new skates.

Of course she fell a few times!

She was smiling so big! You could tell she was so proud of herself.

The next day she tried the skates outside with dads help. This was the outfit she chose to wear for her skating! I sure love my Taeya, even if she has no sense of fashion!

3 Down 1 To Go

Alyson had her baby girl on August 11th. They named her Alayna Kate. She is adorable. We are so happy that she is here and Taeya already loves her like a sister! I am now the only one left. I decided it's no fun being pregnant alone.....only a few more weeks!

Made With Love

I made Taeya a skirt a few months ago, and I was so excited about it. I looked and looked for a cream colored shirt to go with it and could not find one. I had kind of given up on it when my friend Heather told me she found one! I sewed some material on the shirt to match the skirt, and was so excited to have Taeya finally wear it. Doesn't she look so cute all ready for church?!

Princess Party

My sweet niece, Asilia, had a princess party at her dance studio. She was able to invite a friend, and she chose Taeya because she knew how much she liked princesses. Taeya had a hard time trying to decide which princess to be. She settled on Sleeping Beauty in the end. We curled her hair and put some makeup on and she thought she looked so beautiful. Thank you Asilia for inviting Taeya, she had so much fun.

Asilia took great care of her, leading her along, and helping her do the dance moves.

There were lots of beautiful princesses!

They taught the girls a little dance, which Taeya enjoyed. Because Asilia is so much taller than Taeya they split the 2 up, she became partners with the little ballerina in blue, they were so cute to watch.

3 Year Checkup

My Taeya turned 3 already! Oh boy how the time flies. I took her to her 3 year check-up last week. We kept prepping her for the shot, and she did great. The nurse was super fast, all Taeya said was "ow! ow!" and then it was over. She was excited to have a Jasmine bandaid afterwards. Here are some things about Taeya:

-She is 31 lbs (50 percentile), and 39 inches tall (90 percentile). The doctor said she is on track to be 5'8".
-Hanging out with my nephews at my mom and dad's house, she has found a love for climbing trees!
-She loves to dress-up, lately her favorites are swimsuits, and ballerina costumes.
-She changes her clothes at least 3 times a day (usually more).
-When she has "clothes" on she prefers ones that show her arm pits (Tank Tops).
-She still loves her princess poly pockets, but she plays with "My Little Pony" alot also.
-She loves to pretend she is a dog, or the mom, or the kid.
-She loves books.
-She recently sat through to her second movie, "Hannah Montanta." (of Hannah Monatana as she says it).
-She loves to play outside in the sandbox.
-Still takes swim lessons, and is a great little swimmer.
-She is fiesty and stubborn.
-She sleeps in a big girl bed, finally, but I usually have to lay with her for a few minutes.
-She loves to have her back tickled.
-She loves to cuddle while watching a movie.
-Lately she has found a love of eating cereal, but she also likes yogurt, cheese, peanut butter and jelly, toast, chocolate shakes (my protein shakes), strawberry milk, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, burritos, chips, hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets, french fries, (pretty much McDonald's food!), corn on the cobb, broccoli, carrots and dip, pizza. I am sure the list goes on and on, but I would say that this is her "main" diet.

I asked Taeya a few questions, I don't think the answers are accurate, but this is what she said:

What is your favorite color? Red (I think she said Red because Kira, the next door neighbor loves red)

Who is your best friend? Rya (whoever that is!!)

What is your favorite thing to do? Eat broccoli and cereal (She really does like to eat them both)

What is your favorite toy? Cinderella

What's your favorite movie? "Dora and the 3 Little Pigs" (She had just rented this movie the night before, I don't think she really has a favorite movie right now, she has been watching "Polar Express," and "Condor Man" lately)
What is your favorite thing to do outside? Play in the sand

Who is your favorite princess? Cinderella (I actually think it's Ariel)

We Love Ariel

Taeya has the greatest babysitter, Ariel! I used to babysit her when I was young, and now she gets to babysit for me. The other day she took these awesome pictures of Taeya. They turned out great and I love them! Here are some of my favorites:

2 Down 2 To Go!

This was the scene on July 9th, the PLC (Pregnant Ladies Club) posing for another great picture!! Lawni -due July 26th, Heather-due August 6th, Alyson-due August 17th, and me-due September 24th.

Instead of having a shower we got together and went to dinner at Olive Garden, and to the movie "The Proposal." We got a lot of comments about all of us pregnant women. It was a little embarrasing. Surpringly we all made it through the movie with out having to go to the bathroom!

Now, a month later, we have 2 babies. It has been so much fun to be pregnant with such great friends and neighbors. I love all of these girls so much, they are so fun to hang out with and they help me out so much.

Baby Bryce was born on July 19th

Baby McCoy was born on July 25th

These 2 are destined to be great "buddies."

Heather and Lawni looking amazing!

Now we get to look forward to having babies grow up together!

Another Birthday Party

Taeya's actual birthday was Saturday, July 25th and we spent the weekend at the cabin. On her birthday Gordon bought her some candy, we got her face painted at the fair in Kamas, and she got a yummy strawberry shake! So to "celebrate" we had our neighbor friends over for cake and ice cream on Sunday. This time I just made her a simple pink cake. She threw a fit when I told her she couldn't eat the cake herself this time, but I calmed her down by letting her put as many sprinkles as she wanted on her piece.

Brynn, Kira, Taeya, and Brielle (we missed Olivia and Cohen but we will excuse them since their mom had a baby the day before).

Taeya got a lot of fun presents: a new birthday barbie, another princess nightgown, a ballet outfit, a Princess CD, a baby "My Little Pony," and an aquadoodle. Gordon and I couldn't think of anything big to get her, so we just got her a few little things, thank goodness for now she doesn't know the difference!

Daylen and Taeya's B-day Party

My nephew Daylen's birthday was July 11th, and Taeya's was July 25th, so we decided to have a combined family party on July 18th. We went up to Nunn's park and had a BBQ. The kids roasted marshmellows and enjoyed the canyon. Cake, Ice Cream, and Presents were a highlight for both Taeya and Daylen.

I made Taeya a barbie cake this year. I was pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Taeya couldn't keep her hands off of it. She was so anxious to take a swipe!

Skler, Kierra, and Taeya had a good time playing around. I am not sure why Taeya was being silly, but I couldn't get her to smile. I think the only thing she ate at the party was the hamburger bun she is holding, a lot of chips, and some cake! I am such a good mom.

The birthday kids! Daylen and Taeya with their cakes.

All the kids: Kimball, Kierra, Daylen, Zachary, Taeya, Skyler, and Asilia

Aunt Kristy got a sparkler candle that had a 3 on it, but she was afraid of it!

The preliminary eatings of the cake, she just couldn't resist!

When is was finally time to eat the cake, I cut a slice and she got mad because she thought she could eat the whole thing herself. Since Daylen had such a large cake I decided she might as well go for it. After a few minutes she let Kierra join in the eating fun!

She loved all of her great presents, she was especially excited about her new nightgown from nana. She had to put it on immediately.

After the canyon we went to my mom and dads and lit fireworks. It took her a while to warm up to the sparklers, but she finally joined in the fun. We had a fun birthday party! The next day she didn't quite understand that she really wasn't 3 yet, so we just pretended that she was!
