Dress-up Love

These two princesses LOVE to dress up lately. It's usually the first thing the do when they get together. Alayna really likes this red cowboy hat for some reason.  Anastyn loves backpacks and purses.  These girls have so much fun together and they are so adorable!

After Thanksgiving Thanksgiving

This year kindof felt like the Thanksgiving that never ended! The Sunday before Thanksgiving we had a dinner at Gordon's dad house. It was a yummy preview, my favorite was the pecan pie! The girls had fun playing after the meal, and the adults had fun eating dessert and visiting. On Thanksgiving day I went for a long run then prepared a veggie tray for the meal. Gordon went for a long bike ride then met us at my mom and dad's right after the prayer! The rest of the day was visiting, and helping my mom with some Christmas decorations. After my moms we came home and put up our Christmas Tree.  The Saturday after Thanksgiving we had another yummy meal with Gordon's mom at our house this time. It's such a great time of year to think about all the things that I am thankful for.  The top of my list is definitely family.

Thanksgiving Tree

For Family Home Evening the Monday before Thanksgiving we made a Thankful Tree. It was fun to try to think of all the things that we were thankful for. We missed several, but we had a lot of leaves on our tree. I have so much to be thankful for. My list doesn't end.

Anastyn's are the cute ones with scribbles, I tried to translate a few of them.  Taeya was awesome and wrote her own.  My girls are getting so big.

Breaking Dawn Part 2

Heather came into town a few days after her birthday. We had to celebrate with a girls night out. We went to dinner at Brick Oven and to see Breaking Dawn Part 2. I wasn't expecting much from this movie so I had a great time and enjoyed myself. It was so fun to be with great friends. Wish we could do it more often.

Early Snowfall

Last winter was so mild and nice in so many ways. Do you think it means we will have a bad winter if we get a snow storm on October 25th? Enough snow to build a snowman? I'm a little worried. The girls are enjoying it!

October 25th - Taeya leaving for school.  Dad was out of town so we thought we better send him a picture of what he was missing!
Another storm November 10th. Anastyn was having a great time playing in the snow.

We built a snowman, but we couldn't get it to stay up.  :)
The girls decided to make a laying down snowman!

New Jewelry

With both of my girls I have let them decide when to get their ears pierced. Now I have probably put the idea in their heads, but I wanted them to decide. So from time to time I have asked Anastyn if she wants to get hers pierced and she has always said, "no,later." Which was great. Well, we went to the southtown mall to do a return and we walked by the Ear Piercing place and I asked her if she wanted to get her ears pierced and she said no. So we did our return and on the way out Anastyn told me that she wanted to get her ears pierced after she went on the escalator. (She loves going up and down so I told her if she was good at the store she could go on the escalator). I tried to talk her out of it, I tried to tell her lets wait so dad and Taeya could be with us but she was so insistent. I called Gordon and he gave me the okay so we went for it. She was so excited and calm at first. They did the first ear and she of course starting crying but they quickly did the second ear, I thought she was just in pain initially, but she was mad. She didn't want to look in the mirror, she didn't want a sucker, she didn't want to go see Santa. The only thing that cheered her up was a train ride. I was so glad that she finally piped and she was fine from then on. Happy to show off her new purple earings.

Before - look at that smile on her face, she was so excited.

After - not so happy anymore.:(

Finally happy again - Thank you train!

Cornbelly's

We didn't make it to Cornbelly's before Halloween this year, but the girls got lucky and they were open the weekend after Halloween. The day was beautiful so we thought it would be perfect at Thanksgiving Point. We were wrong, it was colder than we thought because there was a cold wind blowing. We still had fun, we were just a little colder than we wished! Gordon ditched us this year - and Seth made an appearance than they went to the movie, kind of rude. :) I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time. We just needed about 10 more hours!

These girls are like sisters - Anastyn, Brynn, Taeya, Kira, and Alayna
Classic picture in the rocking chair.

Cute little farmers.
Face painting was a must!
A hayride.
The girls and I on the hayride - it was a little bright!
So much fun playing in the corn.
Anastyn and Alayna loved the corn too.
Anastyn's favorite stop was the fairy tale part.  She was all smiles riding in Cinderella's carriage,
Taeya on the phone - does she even know what a pay phone is?:)
Anastyn had to try the phone too!
A beautiful princess dancing on the stage - I made her keep her clothes on under the dress-up!
Another beautiful princess riding her sparkly horse.
The matching Cinderellas and the matching pink princesses!
So cute!
The girls and I on our way out.
Alyson and her girls.  What a fun evening!
