Welcome Home

It truely is amazing how fast time goes by. I know my mom and dad don't agree, but I feel like they just barely left, and now they are home. We really did miss them so much! They're "welcome home" didn't turn out as planned since their plane came in an hour early. No one was there to greet them! Mariel and I made it to about 123rd south before Garrick and Kelly called and said they were already out of the airport and waiting!! So we turned around and had our welcome home in my drive-way instead! Taeya was so excited, she ran right up and gave them great big hugs.

I of course gave great big hugs too!!

We ate lunch and visited with them while the kids played. That evening we went with them to be released and afterwards spent some more time at the house with them. It is great to have them back! Now that they are home!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Gordon. Taeya is sure lucky to have a great, fun dad like you! We love you.

Summer Games

We spent the past week-end in Cedar City/St. George for the Utah Summer Games. Since we were first married Gordon has always wanted to swim in the games. We finally made it for the first time in 2007 and Gordon thought he would try again this year to see if he could beat his times. He swam the 200 free, 1500 free (which for us non-swimmers that is a mile!!), 400 free, 200 IM, 100 free, 100 back, and 50 free. He ended up with 5 golds and 2 silvers which means he did great! He was able to beat most of his times which made him happy. Taeya and I were only there to watch all of the "hot" guys walk around in their speedo's, so we were happy too!!

Gordon on the block, ready to go! (Gord really didn't want me to post this picture of him in his speedo, but I had to document that he actually swam, right?!?

Taeya giving Gordon some last minute advice on how to swim really, really fast!

Orem Summerfest

Alyson and I took the girls to the Orem Summerfest parade last Saturday night. Although it didn't quite feel like summer, the girls still really enjoyed themselves, until it started raining of course.

Kira, Taeya, and Brynn - they loved to see the "princesses."

In between the parade and the fireworks, we waited out the rain in Baskin Robbins.

4 Years Later...

...we finally finished the landscaping in the front yard, and we even did a little planting in the back!

A view from the front.

A view of our little "courtyard," this was the only section that needed to be completed this year.

An up-close view of my window boxes, that were actually my Mother's Day present.

A view fron the side of the backyard.

A view of Taeya and the worm while we worked on the yard!

A view of her pretending to eat the worm she just found!

Taeya's Many "Changes"

Taeya changes her clothes constantly, and it drives me crazy! I don't think it would bother me if she didn't think she needed my help. She can do it on her own if she really wants to, but she usually thinks she needs my assistance. I thought I would pack my camera around on Friday (May 30th) to document all of her changes. A few of them were justified because we had swim lessons and we went swimming, but she still makes me crazy!
