Girls Trip

A girls trip this year wasn't expected since the whole family was together in Lake Powell this past July, but at the last minute we put one together. This time with my mom, but sadly, not with Kelly. We went to Las Vegas again. We figured it was a good "last minute" destination and fairly close for Kimberly who now lives in Arizona.

Friday night was dinner at Serendipity's. They recently opened one in Caesar's Palace. I have been to the one in New York and thought it would be a fun spot for a girls night on the town! My Aunt and 2 cousins who live in Las Vegas met us for dinner. We enjoyed a Frozen Hot Chocolate and a Fried Oreo dish for dessert!

Saturday we had planned to go to the Titanic Artifact Exhibit for a nice cultural experience, but we ended up at the outlets instead. We had a great time shopping and barely made it to the "Lion King." It was a fun show, not quite as spectacular as "Phantom" from last year, but still very entertaining. (In the picture below we have Chantel, Mariel, Mom, Kimberly, and Kristy).

After the play we headed over to the Venetian for dinner. I have a friend who is a chef at "Bouchon" and he hooked us up this year. After a fabulous dinner (which I didn't know what half of the words on the menu meant) they brought out about 7 complimentary desserts. It was hard to choose which one was the best, they were all fantastic.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel and talked until about 2 am. (Which I guess isn't that late considering how many girls were together!) Sunday morning we got up, ate breakfast, and drove home. My feet and ankles were so swollen from driving, then walking, then sitting, and the heat, but what a great weekend!
