The Idaho Flood

I went to Idaho Falls for the week (the second week in January) to babysit my sisters 6 kids while she and her husband went to Hawaii. Gordon came up the first weekend and that's when Taeya got sick. He stayed with her on Sunday while I took the rest of the kids to church, then he headed home for the week. I thought we were going to have a fun week, just hanging out with the kids. I knew it would be a little hard with Taeya and Cael, since they are both only one, but I figured I could handle it. Well, little did I know that everyone would end up with the flu! Poor Cameron had it the worst, and he had it most of the week. He got sick on Tuesday and it trickled down from there. I could handle the flu, but I lost it on Friday when I put a onesie in the sink to soak, then put the 3 little kids in the tub. 45 minutes later, I realized I never turned the water off in the laundry room. I had flooded the entire room, and the water was headed down the hall. I just started bawling. I called Gordon and he tried to console me, but it was a mess. I had ruined her counter tops, and gotten almost everything in her laundry room wet. Cleaning it up was a nightmare! I felt so aweful, one of the worst days of my life so far! Chantel's kids are great and I enjoyed spending time with them, but hopefully I won't ever have to deal with that again, bring on the flu, but please no more floods!
