Couples Halloween Party

Gordon and I went to the Purles Halloween Party again this year. Gordon is the halloween lover in the family but I actually had fun dressing up. I recycled a costume I used several years ago, Aunt Jamaima, and Gordon was a Ghostly Gentleman. Anastyn tagged along as a skeleton. Halloween parties really are fun, maybe we will throw one next year?

Taeya helped us get ready - she is wearing Gordons wig and Alyson's flower headband.

Gordon and I won the award for the "most original."

Raggedy Ann

A few weeks ago my sister-in-law, Kelly, saw a posting on the photographer Nicole Hill Gerulat's blog looking for a red-headed girl at the last minute for a photo shoot. Kelly, unknown to me, emailed some pictures of Taeya and Nicole called me back and asked if she could use her. Of course I was flattered and more than happy to have her be a model. The bad thing was that we had just finished swim lessons and we were at McDonald's having lunch, it was about 1:10 pm and she had to wrap up the photo shoot at about 2:00 pm. So they ran to Target to buy her an outfit and I ran to the salon and blow-dried her hair (thank goodness the salon was right next to McDonald's) and we met in Orem at about 1:30 pm. It was such an adorable shoot. One of Nicoles clients is starting a party planning business for kids and they were shooting a "Raggedy Ann" birthday party. Apparently at the last minute decided they wanted a red-headed girl for the shoot. Taeya had fun and did a great job, at least I think so. Here is a little preview of some of the pictures she took, I will post more when I get the disk.

They let Taeya keep the big red ballon, and the sparkly red shoes. Taeya thinks that is payment enough, and if she's happy, then I'm happy!

St. George Week-end

We went to St. George the weekend of October 16th. Friday night we went and saw "Annie" at the Tuacahn. I thought Taeya would enjoy it a little more that she did, but it didn't help that we got there late because we left our house later than planned!

Taeya was a little shy meeting Annie.

Cousin Daylen loved holding the baby. He sat and held her for a long time. It was so cute.

Anastyn did so great on the drive to and from St. George. We stayed with Ryan and Kristy, they have a sweet set-up in the basement that accomadated our family nicely. Anastyn slept in a crib for the first time during the weekend.

I just love this girl - 1 month old.

On Saturday Gordon went on a 100 mile bike ride. Kristy and I took our time getting ready in the morning, went shopping at Christensen's, then let the kids play at the splash park while we cheered Gordon on as he made it to the finish line. That night we went and saw the movie "Where the Wild Things Are," (much to our disappointment), after the movie we ordered Pizza and ate it at our friends, Kip and Amy's, house. Sunday we ate lunch and drove home. It was such a nice weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves, thanks Ryan and Kristy for letting us enjoy the weekend with you.

Cornbelly's

During fall break we went to Cornbelly's with the Connelly's, Kelly and Jayne. Each time I go I am amazed at how much there is to do, that place is great. We were there from about 11:30 to 4:30. I was way past ready to leave, but the kids were still going strong! We had to bribe them to leave with a snow cone (it was a really warm day).

This isn't a very good picture, but we had to get a shot with the huge chair - Asilia, Me, Anastyn, and Taeya.

Princess Asilia and Princess Taeya - Taeya was so glad that she was able to dress up this year (last year you were supposed to dress the scarecrow but I couldn't keep her from trying on the dress herself).

Aren't these 2 the cutest skeletons? I sure think so!

4 weeks old

4 Weeks old and still as cute as ever (at least in my opinion)! Not too much has changed from 3-4 weeks. She is just getting more and more alert, and getting bigger and bigger. She still snacks, still wants to be held alot and sleeps great while she is being held, but other than that she really is a great baby.

Witches

On Monday, October 12th, my friends and I took our kids to Gardner Village to see the witches. We picked a nice, warm evening to go. It's safe to say that we all had a great time.

Kira, Taeya, Cohen, Olivia, Brynn, and Brielle

Taeya and Anastyn. I had to post this picture because the look in Anastyn's eyes says, "don't let my sister hurt me!" Taeya is holding her hand. She always grabs her hand and then says, "look mom, she loves me!"

Me and my girls.

The kids dancing to "Monster Mash." Taeya was obsessed with the cute little girl dressed like a lady bug. She wouldn't leave her alone.

Anastyn did great in the Baby Bjorn as always!

Taeya enjoying the pony ride.

All the kids had fun in the little petting zoo. The funny thing was that they wouldn't let an adult in without paying, so we let the kids run wild. Thank goodness for Brynn who kept the kids under control, except when Taeya climbed under the fence to pet one of the animals and the employee had to go and get her out. That's what they get for not letting us in to supervise I guess!

Blessing Day

It was an important week-end for these 2 beautiful girls. Asilia, my neice, got baptized on Saturday and Anastyn was blessed on Sunday, October 11, 2009. What a great weekend. The baptism was Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon we went to a condo in Heber and ate lunch and swam in the pool. Everyone had a blast. (I forgot my camera so I don't have any photos from Saturday). We love Asilia so much and we were glad we were able to come see her be baptized. (Now when Taeya is in the bathtub she asks me if she can be pretend to be baptized as she rinses her hair!)

Gordon gave Anastyn such a sweet blessing on Sunday and she looked so pretty in her new white dress that my mom and I made (mostly my mom). We ate taco salads at our house afterwards. It was a pleasant day and we really enojoyed spending time with our family and friends. It's amazing how sweet and innocent these little babies are. I feel so blessed to have a healthy, happy baby, and I am honered to be her mother.

Our Little Family

As we were making Anastyn's dress, Taeya kept asking me where her new dress was, so we bought her a new dress also. She loved it and wore it all day long!

Taeya and all her cousins (or her "friends" as she calls them) enjoyed playing in the playroom, her bedroom, and jumping on the tramp.

Anastyn and Grandma Elaine (Gordon's mom), who Anastyn is named after. In the blessing Gordon mentioned that his mom is one of the most generous people we know and he blessed Anastyn that she would follow her example. It was really sweet and brought us all to tears.
