Snow Fun

This has been one of the mildest winters that I can remember. In some ways it has been really nice. We got enough snow to finally get out and play. We figured we better take advantage while we can because you never know if and when it will snow again this year! We had a great time making a snowman and a mermaid.

Alayna and Brynn helped us make our snowman.
We were so excited to finally use our snowman building kit.
The snowman kept falling over because the girls were trying to eat him!
We moved into the Bailey's backyard (where there was a new supply of snow) and made this beautiful mermaid and colored her with Koolaid.  The kids had a lot of fun and we were grateful for a fun afternoon in the snow.  Of course we had to end inside withe some yummy hot chocolate!

3 Little Kittens

The Milligans were in town for a short visit for a funeral. Alyson and I offered to watch Bryce during the funeral. He was so much fun. The kids immediately became cute little kittens. Bryce was so much fun and no trouble at all! We were sad that our visit with the rest of the family was so short, but thankfully we get to see them again in April.
Taeya loves face painting - I had a hard time getting a good picture but these 3 were the cutest kittens I've ever seen!

Taeya, Anastyn, and Bryce
I just want to eat these two up! So cute!
Taeya was so excited to see Brielle, just sad she couldn't play longer.  They played hard for the few minutes they were together!

Happy Birthday To Me

This year my birthday was on a Sunday, so we got to celebrate all weekend long. It was great. It started on Friday night at the Melting Pot with the Seaquists and the Baileys.  It was delicious, my favorite was definitely the dessert.

Seth, Mary, Me, Alyson, Spencer, and Gordon

Saturday morning we slept in and got ready for the day. Garrick and Kelly made plans for us to go tubing with them in Park City at Gorgoza Park. It was a blast. We had to stretch the truth a little and say that Anastyn was 3 or the wouldn't have let her go on the tube run, but thanks to Kelly that was no problem, just $2 more!

Anastyn absolutely loved tubing!
Riding up to the hill on the conveyor belt was a little scary for Anastyn
Taeya's tummy was hurting during our outing so she wasn't 100%, but we all still had a great time.
Kelly and I - it was a perfect day.  A little overcast so it wasn't super bright or super cold.  Just right!
I look a little crazy in this picture but I had to post it because it captured the moment so well - everyone was all smiles on our big train ride down.  When we got to the bottom Anastyn would say "again, again, again!!"

After tubing we headed over to the outlets and shopped around for a short time. Of course I would've preferred to stay a little longer but it was getting late and everyone was getting hungry. We went to cafe rio for dinner than headed to downtown Salt Lake where we had booked a hotel room for the night. We did priceline and got a room at the Sheraton. We were disappointed that the pool wasn't open just the hottub.

At the hotel we enjoyed the hottub and watching some shows on TV.  I remember loving hotels when I was young so I thought the girls would enjoy it.  I think they did.
We have 1:00 church so we were able to get home in time to shower and get ready for church.  Taeya gave a talk on Choosing the Right and I substituted playing the piano during primary.  Taeya did a great job.
After church we went to my Mom and Dads for dinner.  My mom knows me well - I love Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes.  This one was delicious!
Taeya wrote me this letter.  It says "Happy Birthday Dear Brandalyn Kennard."  So, so cute!

For my presents I got a sewing machine case from Gordon and the girls. My mom, and Lee gave me money, Mariel got me a candle, Kelly gave me a case for my flat iron (we also spent an evening at Archivers Scrapbooking to celebrate my birthday which was so much fun!) Kimberly gave me a cookie decorating kit, Ryan and Kristy gave me a Michaels gift card, Mindi gave me a cute picture frame and earings, Alyson made me an awesome book, Lawni gave me a gift card to Nordstrom, Heather gave me some Tomms, and a gift card to Blue Lemon, Mary made me a cute half apron and included some yummy flavored almonds and some hand lotion. I also went to dinner at Olive Garden with the awesome woman I work with in Young Woman's. So many people love me and I am so grateful! I love birthdays. Too bad they just make you older!

Valentines Day

I love holidays - any holiday, Gordon on the other hand doesn't really enjoy this particular holiday. He uses the excuse that it's too close to my birthday. I think he's a scrooge! The girls and I had a fun holiday. I made them pink oatmeal for breakfast. I helped out in Taeya's classroom during the party - I was in charge of the cookie decorating. Alyson helped me frost and deliver the rest of the cookies to my young women, and Gordon even came through that night with some yummy takeout. It turned out to be a fun/busy holiday for all of us!

Taeya getting ready for school and eating her pink oatmeal.
Anastyn finally ate hers after she was dressed!
I always enjoy helping out in Taeya's classroom.  I made sugar cookies that the kids decorated.   I think they all enjoyed it, especially putting on the sprinkles!

On the night before Valentines day I decided to turn the girls Christmas shirts into Valentine Day shirts.  I think they turned out pretty cute!
This is Anastyn's favorite place to be lately.  She hangs out in the cupboard of the entertainment center.  It's so funny, she really likes to have the door closed, good thing it has a light inside!

Once Alyson and I started frosting cookies the little girls had to join in!
So serious during the decorating.
Alyson and I decorated the rest of the cookies and delivered them to my young women and the ladies we visit teach.
Dad came home from work early and surprised us with take-out from brick oven - a heart shaped pizza, delicious pasta, garlic bread and rootbeer.  After we got the kids in bed we watched "Breakfast at Tiffany's."

Baptism

Zach was baptized on February 11, 2012. We enjoyed being with him on his special day. Following the baptism we had a yummy lunch at the church. After we got the church all cleaned up we spent the rest of the day visiting with family at my mom and dads house. The cousins love to play together and adults love to talk!

Dinosaur Museum

Heather came into town for a few days. There is just never enough time when she comes. We did have time to take a trip to the Dinosaur museum. The kids had a great time and thanks to Noelle we got in 1/2 price! We went and got ice cream afterwards. What a fun day. Now just move back Heather and we can do it more often! (Thanks Heather for all the pictures).

Maxon, Livvy, and Taeya watching the bubbles of smoke float up.
Livvy and Taeya had a great time running around together.
Anastyn and McCoy having fun in the sand and water.
So darn cute!
I love kids animation - she was so excited about something!
Happy girl - I couldn't resist putting this one in too!
All the kids waiting patiently for their ice cream.  It was yummy.
