Gordon's Birthday

Gordon turned 37 this year! He is getting to be such an old man! We had a great birthday celebration weekend. On Saturday (Jan 28th) we went skiing at Sundance, dinner at Tucanos, and a movie afterwards. Sunday was church, dinner at Chuck A Rama with Gordon's dad and cake and ice cream for dessert!

Seth, Gordon, me, and Alyson on the lift

Gordon and I at the top of the lift.  Sundance is such a beautiful place and always brings back good memories!

Sunday morning the girls and I made him breakfast in bed. Taeya thought he needed the beautiful teacup!

The girls helped him open presents before church, a new tie, new shoes, a DVD, and new tires for his bike.

Gordon and the girls

I made him a delicious chocolate cake for dessert and we ate it with chocolate ice cream.  I think we all enjoyed it!

Anastyn helped Gordon blow out the candle but Gordon was worried she would slobber all over his cake, so he shielded it a little!

Random Anastyn

Here are some random pictures of Anastyn during the month of January.

On the counter helping me make dinner.  She is always on the counter and loves to help me cook - especially crack eggs!

She is becoming quite a dress-up girl.  She loves hats, purses and babies!  (And binkis to for that matter, she is only supposed to have her binki at bedtime but she often sneeks a suck throughout the day if she's lucky!)

Anastyn and Alayna are best little buddies and play together so well when they both don't want the same toy!  Today was a good day since they were actually sharing the car instead of fighting over it!

Anastyn started taking a dance class from Miss Bobbi.  She loves it and wears her dance costume all day long.

She will also wear her dance outfit anytime she sees it!

At dance class doing the baby dance.

Anastyn and Alayna doing the Dora Dance.

She loves the bath.  She also likes the shower and ends up showering with me in the morning at least 75% of the time.

I love this little girl!

Cheetah Girl

Taeya dressed up in her Cheetah costume and kept posing and telling me to take a picture. She is quite the poser! She's the cutest Cheetah I know though!

Half Birthday

We celebrated Taeya's half birthday again this year - we are always looking for an occasion to eat dessert! Taeya loved a little attention directed at her!

She always tells me she wants a fancy cake but I don't do fancy cakes for 1/2 birthdays - she got a chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting and pink sparkles instead!

The Bailey's helped us eat the cake!
A few things about Taeya: We just barely signed up for Ballet at The Point, 1 time a week for 1 hour. She loves school and Mrs. Reiber but if you ask her she'll tell you that school is boring. Her favorite colors are pink, black, and white. She is so good to always help Anastyn. She loves getting her out of bed in the morning (at least when Anastyn will let her). She is a social butterfly and wants to be with friends constantly. She hates it when I leave and often cries! (I thought we were really over that stage!) She loves to get dressed up, wear makeup and do anything girly! She is getting so smart. She is learning to read and can easily count to 100. She loves getting read to at night and still has a hard time going to sleep. She sleeps great when she finally goes to sleep though! I have to wake her up for school at 8:00 and she is often grumpy in the morning if she doesn't get enough sleep. She loves to be cuddled and - at night she always want a hug and a kiss and as she hugs you she will say "I'm never gonna let you go!" I usually have to squeeze myself off of her after about 20 seconds! I love her so much, I am so lucky to be her mom!

Yearly Idaho Falls Week

We spent a week in Idaho Falls again while Chantel, Casey and my parents enjoyed the warm Hawaii sun. I was a little jealous. We did have a great week. As always, someone was sick - poor Cameron couldn't seem to get over a fever, cough, and earache. That didn't bring us down too much though. We still had a great time. I love the Huntsman kids and the girls and I always enjoy a week with them.

Anastyn, Taeya, Cael and Cameron - They love Chantel's big bathtub - there is always alot of water on the floor when you get 4 kids in the bathtub!

With 9:00am church I was a little worried that I wouldn't have everyone ready,  so I did rollers.  It was a first for Anastyn.

Doesn't she look so cute?!  Because of Cameron's fever Anastyn, and Collin and I were the only ones who even ended up going to church!  Gordon was a good sport and stayed home with the rest of them.

Anastyn, Cael, and Taeya - another bath, this time with goggles.

Taeya and Cael all ready for bed.  We had fun ready Curious George stories each night, we ended up finishing the whole book by the end of the week!

Cameron, Taeya, and Anastyn - we always do a pizza night.  Cael usually helps me make a pizza but doesn't want to eat it.  He didn't want to join in this year with the pizza.  He did help alot with the sugar cookies we made though.  (He even ate a few, shhhh, don't tell!)

Leo's is always a favorite in Idaho Falls.  The kids enjoy the food and games and Gordon and I enjoy the people watching!  There are always some great mullets!

Cael - don't you love the big mark on his forehead - he did it earlier in the week.  He got a "rug burn" going down the slide at McDonald's.

Anastyn loved the rides of course.

All the kiddos, (minus Collin and Cynthia) - They had a fun time.
A few things that we did that we didn't capture on film were: bowling, McDonald's a couple of times, the girls and I did some shopping at the mall while we waited for kids to be done with school, we ate frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf, went to Baskin Robbins twice, made sugar cookies, and played outside! What a fun-filled week!

Where's Waldo

The Beehives were in charge of the January combined activity. The kids decided to have a "Where's Waldo" night. We got people from the ward to dress in disguise and hang out at the southtown mall. I think the kids had a great time. Gordon volunteered to hang out and Taeya loved being incognito at the mall! She loved wearing one of my mom's wigs.

Greg Gordon hanging out in a "Tangled" wig.  What a good sport!

Jason Jensen as a janitor.  Elise talked to the mall security and they agreed to let a few of the leaders wear janitor clothing!

Elan Jensen - she was awesome.  I busted up laughing when I saw her.  We miss you Elan!

None of the youth could find Elise - the wig turned out great.  She was sitting in the food court pretending to do homework.

Gordon and Taeya

All of the awesome people who helped us out for the night!  (The picture is a little blurry darnit!)

Finally Snow

We finally got a little snow - the girls really enjoyed playing in it with the Bailey's.  There wasn't quite enough for a snowman, but maybe next month? Maybe?
