Swim Suit Season

Jayne slept over after the dance recital and her and Anastyn had a fun morning playing. She came to swim lessons with us and the girls came up with quite the outfit to wear. Made me laugh!

Dance Recital

The girls were so excited for the dance recital. Gordon was still in Thailand so he missed out. Granny came and so did Kelly and Jayne. The girls did great. They had beautiful smiles and dance perfectly. I love watching them perform.

While I was doing Anastyn's hair she enjoyed playing on my phone!
Beautiful Taeya - both of the girls love performing.
It was a little chilly while we waited to get in.
Cute Anastyn - Love that smile.  She did a dance to the Aladin song "You Ain't Never Had a Friend Like Me."
Taeya had so much energy while she dance!
It was so fun to have Kelly and Jayne come with us.  We got ice cream after and Jayne came over for a sleepover.
I had a hard time getting Anastyn to hold still and not "Pose!"

Blanding

Gordon was in Thailand for Memorial day so I thought I would take the weekend and go visit Heather. We always have a great time. We didn't do a lot over the weekend, I just cut out fabric for Kian's quilt, Heather worked on a quilt also and Alyson made a skirt for Brynn. Jeremy took Livvy, Taeya, and Kira to the cabin all day on Saturday and they had a blast. Sunday we went to church, had a yummy family dinner and then took a drive to some little lake??:) Monday we got some great deals at the local Amco. We got snow cones on the way out of town! Such a great weekend.

The girls going for a little drive.  So cute!
Still at the cabin....playing in the water.
The girls looking for bugs.
Taeya and Livvy just hanging out.
Anastyn, Alayna, and McCoy loved playing games.
Anastyn all ready for church.
Kira, Alayna, Anastyn, McCoy, Taeya, Livvy, and Cohen - what a cute bunch.
Me, Alyson, and Heather
Late Sumday afternoon we needed an outing so we went on a little drive to some pond.:)
We had to go home with a few pinecones!
It was so muddy right by the water so I was helping Taeya rinse her feet off.
I had to carry her back to the car so her feet would be clean.

Preschool Program

Anastyn has really loved "ginastic" preschool this year. They had a cute program. They sang fun songs and had a little graduation ceremony. I checked Taeya out of school so she could support our "Banana."

Anastyn and Ms. Heidi, we love her.

Dance Class

Anastyn really loves her dance class. Her teacher Miss Bobi has a fun little studio. At the end of the year she has a little in class dress rehearsal that the parents are invited to. At the end of class she calls each student up and has them do a few dance moves and gives them a little present. I love watching Anastyn dance. She loves it and pays really close attention and has a great memory for each of the steps. It's so cute.

The present Miss Bobi gave them this year is the cute crown Anastyn is wearing.
Annie and Anastyn had dance together this year.  They loved it.  Luci (Annie's mom) and I would alternate weeks of driving.  After class the girls always had a play date.  These 2 play together so well and always have a great time.
Practicing their curtsies.

Peacock Costume

All the first graders went on a field trip to the zoo. Their assignment afterwards was to pick an animal from the zoo and write a report. Taeya chose peacocks. She wrote a long report on peacocks and did a great job. A week or so after the report was written the students were asked to dress like the animal. Parents were invited and we walked around the classroom and when we pressed the imaginary button the students would tell us 3 facts about their animal. It was a fun assignment for Taeya.

As a side not about her costume....I stressed a little bit about this. We were told about the assignment a few weeks prior. I searched and searched online and found some Halloween costumes that I should've just ordered. I didn't love it (I always have a vision and can't ever seem to find the vision!) so I kept searching. Well, it came down to the wire and I was kicking myself for not just ordering it. I spent even more time making a costume and just as much money!! I did turn out cute so I guess it's all good in the end.

Anastyn had dance immediately after the "musem" at school so she came with me in her dance clothes.
My cute peacock, or "peafowl" to be proper:)
A shot of the back. It really did turn out cute.
She was a very happy peacock.
My cute Taeya at school, ready to give me her 3 facts about peafowl.
Taeya and her friend Ella - Ella was a cheetah.

This is the cover of Taeya's report that was hanging outside of her classroom.

Mother's Day

My parents chose to fill a mission at the Heber Valley Camp. This is a unique mission. They serve from April to October for 2 years. They are able to go home once a week on their p-day and then from October til April. It's been such a blessing and so much fun. They have a cute little cabin with a loft and we are able to visit any weekend and twice a season we can stay in the campground.

For Mother's day weekend we decided so come "check it out." We went up Saturday night and had ribs and baked potatoes for dinner. We had a tour of the camp and threw rocks in the pond. Our little family stayed for the night and went to church with my parents too. Right before sacrament meeting the Chorister tripped and fell. The ambulance had to come and she ended up breaking her hip. It ended up being a fun weekend and a memorable sacrament meeting.

What is so appealing about throwing rocks in the water?? Anastyn and Jayne loved it!

Anastyn, Zach, and Jayne

On our "tour" of the camp the kids loved playing in the bunk beds.

Anastyn loves Asilia and is always happy when she is close by!

Mariel, Zach, Asilia, Taeya, Matt and Gordon - On our tour most of our group went in the back of the truck, and 4 or 5 went in the razor.

Skyler, Nana, Anastyn, me, and Jayne - Nana was a good razor driver.

Anastyn and Jayne - so cute.
