Grandma's Birthday

Grandma Fenn (of Little Grandma as the girls call her) turned 91 on July 2nd, we had an early birthday party for her at the care center in Roosevelt. We brought our own lunch, had cake and ice cream and enjoyed a little visit with the family. It was so fun to have an excuse to go see Grandma. We love her so much and hope we have several more years with her!

Summer Visit

We love when the Whitmer's come to town, we always have so much fun. They stayed for almost 2 weeks this trip so we had a lot of fun. Of course I didn't get pictures of everything but I captured a few activities on Camera. We went to Discovery Gateway, City Creek, Kangaroo Zoo, we did some shopping in Salt Lake, we put up the water slide a few times at moms house, we did haircuts, we had a birthday party for dad, Howard taught us how to make chocolate sauce, we had a 4th of July BBQ, lit sparklers one night, and just had a great time! Come back again soon so we can have more fun.

Jayne and Anastyn at Discovery Gateway - the girls loved it!
Taeya making the girls some dinner.
Taeya riding the horsey and loving the animals.
Jayne and Anastyn riding the horse - they are becoming such great friends, I love it!
Taeya looks pretty good as an anchor girl.
The girls putting on a "Little Red Riding Hood" play.
After the Discovery place we hit the fountains.  It was hot so it was nice to cool off in the water.
Kierra and Taeya were inseperable as always!
The snowcones were a favorite.
We were still going strong so we decided to visit City Creek while we were downtown.  We ate dinner at the eatery, visited a few stores quickly, then played in the water.
At the fountains, they weren't allowed to wear swim suits so the kids soaked their clothes.
They all had a great time.  I don't know how I didn't get any pictures of the Connelly's but we loved having them with us too.  What a great day!

MS Ride

Gordon did the annual Bike MS ride for Team Ultradent. He completed the century ride in great time. He loves riding! The ride began in Logan so the girls and I weren't able to see him come into the finish! We were there in spirit though.

Strawberry Days

Spending an afternoon is becoming a summer tradition. This year we bought wristbands for the girls (at a small fortune), and Anastyn got on the first ride and right before it started she decided she didn't want to be on it anymore. The only ride she went on all day was the "Merry Going Round," we definitely got our money's worth on that ride. Taeya had a blast with Brynn and Rachel running from ride to ride. Such cute girls! What a fun day. And of course the strawberries and cream is a highlight! So yummy!

First ride of the day, she sat down and smiled nicely for the picture, it was all over this smile!  Silly girl.
So we stayed on this ride all day long!!
Taeya, Brynn and Rachel showing off their new butterflies they won.
Here we are on the Merry Going Round still!
The girls got brave and even decided to go on the Ferris Wheel - they loved it!
Yummy Strawberries and Cream
The rest of the girls enjoying their treat!
There is some serious talent in facepainting, look how awesome all these girls look.  Of course Anastyn was too scared to get hers painted, I guess it saved me $5.
Cute Taeya kitty!

Fathers Day

Father's Day was a great day! The girls helped me make Gordon breakfast in bed, then we had presents in bed - a new DVD player, a new tie, and a new book of dad and the girls. After church we stopped by my dads house and then headed to Gordon's house. I have such amazing men in my life and I am so lucky!

Monster Birthday Party

Little Gage turned one and Kristy had the cutest ever Monster Party! I should've taken more pictures but the few I have will have to do. We ate yummy food and relaxed in the shade of the back yard.

Our monster party.  Kristy had printed off several monsters.  We were able to choose which monster we wanted to be.

As we were eating a little slithery friend decided to join our lunch.  The kids caught the snake and took turns holding it.  I am not a huge snake fan, but obviously Taeya doesn't mind them.

Girls Trip

To start off the beginning of summer vacation, I took off on a girls trip to Chantel's cabin in Island Park. We had a great, great long weekend. We left on Thursday right after I picked Taeya up from school. I picked her up and dropped the girls off at Grandpa Lee and Grandma Laura's. They are always in good hands there. We drove to Idaho Falls, packed up Chantels car, gave the boys haircuts,  and made it all the way to Rexburg before we stopped for dinner. We were going to go all the way to the cabin but we were hungry and decided to stop and see Chelsea. When we finally made it to the cabin we unloaded the car and Cynthia and I watched "Soul Surfer."

Friday morning we got out the sewing machine and fabric and started making skirts. We stayed at the cabin that day and sewed and sewed and did everyone's hair (moms cut and color, Mariel's cut and color, Kimberly's cut and a little color, and a trim for Cynthia). That night we stayed up and watched a movie but I can't remember which one! (We watched alot of movies this weekend!)

Saturday we had a yummy breakfast and got ready and headed into West Yellowstone. We found a little place to eat some lunch and we walked around and looked at the shops before we went and saw the play "The Lazy Chapperone." After the play we headed back to the cabin for some more sewing, eating, and movie watching.

Sunday morning we went to sacrament meeting, came home, did some more sewing, eating, movie watching and more eating, sewing, oh and celebrating of moms belated birthday. Here is a list of all the movies we watched over the weekend: "Soul Surfer," "Footloose," "The Vow," "Beastley," "Confessions of a Shopaholic," "Footloose,"and "Letters to Juliett."  Did I remember them all??

Monday morning it was time to pack up, cleanup and head home. What a sad day. We had such a fun, relaxing weekend. Let's do it again next week! We sure did miss Kelly and Kristy though. Hopefully next time we will ALL be able to go.

Group shot after the play in West Yellowstone.
After church - cabin in the background - Mariel, Mom, Kimberly, Me, Cynthia, Chelsea, and Chantel
Another shot on the lake.
All the skirts we made!
Happy Birthday to mom, Kimberly made us yummy buttermilk pie.
This is where I spent a lot of my time!  I was so mad at myself for forgetting my sewing machine so we only had Chantel's to share, it definitely got a good workout!
