1st Birthday Party

We had a fun little 1st Birthday Party for Anastyn, how did she get to be a one year old? We invited our families to come party with us. We have such an awesome family - always so supportive and loving. Anastyn seemed to really enjoy herself and the weather was wonderful so we enjoyed being outside for most of the party. We ate pulled pork sandwiches, green salad, chips and we had frappe to drink. After dinner Gordon provided some bubble fun for the kids. After the bubbles we opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Simple and fun. I had good intentions of having this amazing party with a great theme, but as it got closer the reality is that things got too busy and I slowly let things go....oh well, there is always a 2nd birthday right? Below is a million pictures, my only regret is that I forgot to get our the video camera and film some of the party.:(

The Birthday Girl: We love our Anastyn so so much. She is a happy, busy girl and so dang cute. Life wouldn't be the same without her!!

The Guests: Papa and Nana, Grandma Elaine, Grandpa and Grandma Laura, Matt, Mariel, Asilia, Zachary, Skyler, Garrick, Kelly, Jayne, Frank, and Sean

The Presents: She actually did really good opening her presents. She tore right into them. Taeya couldn't resist helping her a little bit. She got so many great things. Money from Grandma and Grandpa Laura, a fun toy from Papa and Nana, a cute book from Garrick and Kelly, a shopping cart from Matt and Mariel, a cute little "snuggy" from Taeya, and a mailbox toy from mom and dad.

The Cake: I've always had fun making Taeya's birthday cakes, but I kindof did an easy one for Anastyn. I think it turned out good though. I made some yummy chocolate cupcakes for those who didn't want butterfly cake, they were really good. Anastyn has such a sweet tooth so she went right for her cake, picked it up and ate a lot of it. She loved it!
